Return & Refund Policy

Smiling Homes offers a 14-day return window from the date of delivery (not the order date). This policy applies to our home décor products, many of which are made-to-order through print-on-demand and dropshipping partners.

Return Eligibility & Condition Requirements

For an item to qualify for return, it must satisfy all of the following:

  • Be returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • Remain unopened, in its original packaging, with all original tags, accessories, and documentation intact.
  • Show no signs of use, installation, wear, or damage.

Any evidence of use, assembly, or removal from original packaging will result in the return being declined.

How to Initiate a Return

All returns must be pre-approved. To request a return:

  1. Contact us at info@smilinghomes.com within the 14-day window.
  2. Include your order number, reason for return, and any supporting photographs if applicable.

Unauthorized returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted. We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not fully comply with our policy.

Return Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and associated risks, including loss or damage during transit, unless the item is found to be defective upon inspection.

Restocking Fee

A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all approved returns of non-defective items to cover processing and inventory restocking expenses.

Defective or Damaged Items

If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, please notify us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) via info@smilinghomes.com, including clear photographs and your order number.

  • For verified defective or damaged items, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
  • You will receive a full refund or replacement at no additional cost.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Any item that has been installed, used, or opened
  • Final sale, clearance, or promotional items
  • Custom or personalized products
  • Gift cards

Exchanges

To exchange an item, please return the original product following our standard return process and place a separate order for the desired replacement.

Refund Process

After we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you regarding the status of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Please note that banks and credit card issuers may require additional time to post the credit to your account.

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Customers shipping to the European Union are entitled to a statutory 14-day cancellation period from the date of delivery, subject to the same condition and eligibility requirements outlined above.

Final Provisions

Smiling Homes reserves the right to deny any return or refund request that does not meet the conditions specified in this policy. All decisions regarding returns and refunds are made at our sole discretion.
